Abel is a designer and serial entrepreneur, with several inventions to his credit, plus many different businesses, including renting out birthing tubs, manufacturing self-assembly spas, several building businesses, a computer programming consultancy, and teaching communication skills. He has trod the path from franchising, then selling a business, to bankruptcy, and back again.

PaintnGo is his latest venture. He has been a sole trader, and a partner, owned a limited company, employed staff, filled in his own VAT returns, made mistakes, and learned lessons. He has lived in Bristol, Coventry, London, Shanghai, Paris, New York, Totnes, and now Royal Tunbridge Wells.

David is a seasoned business leader with over 30 years of experience, who has consistently driven growth and innovation in B2B events and digital media. His expertise lies in implementing transformational strategies, revitalising businesses, and building high-performing sales and markeitng teams. He founded Event iQ to empower event organisers, providing strategic guidance and leadership to accelerate their success.

However, his life took a profound turn when he became the primary caregiver for his wife, who is battling complex mental health challenges. For five years, he navigated the demanding realities of caregiving, full-time work, and parenting. Witnessing firsthand the struggles faced by individuals and families impacted by mental health ignited a deep passion within him.

This experience fueled his desire to launch PaintnGo: a space where art can become a source of healing and joy for everyone. Driven by this desire to support those living with disabilities, he has implemented community programmes to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where creativity flourishes and community thrives. 

My Career:

My name is Szilvia, and my career path has been an exciting journey of self-discovery and growth. I originally studied Tourism and Hospitality, which led me to an internship in France. However, my true passion emerged when I found my way into Recruitment. Over the years, I have successfully built new businesses and contributed to various recruitment agencies across Hungary. Ten years ago, I moved to England, and after a brief period in Retail Management, I reconnected with my passion for Recruitment. I have been working for language specialised Recruitment Agency and now supporting an International Tourism Business as a Talent Acquisition Partner, helping professionals find fulfilling career opportunities.

Throughout my career, I have experienced high-pressure environments, working long hours—often 50-60 hours per week. I understand the demands of financial responsibilities and the challenges of meeting high management expectations. These experiences have shaped me, reinforcing the importance of balance and mindfulness in life.

My Passions:

Beyond my professional life, I have always had creative outlets. As a child, I loved art and played handball. During university, music and dancing became my escape. Today, dance remains a big part of my life—I enjoy salsa, bachata, and my new love, Kizomba. Additionally, I practice yoga, attend Zumba classes, and find joy in photography. These activities keep me grounded and allow me to express myself.
